The Rules!

- A minimum of two dozen (24) cupcakes is required. If you have entered one of the competitions, two of those cupcakes will be set aside for judging.

- Your cupcakes will need to be delivered to Mill Creek Foursquare Church on Saturday, October 23rd between 1:00pm – 1:30pm. Cupcakes for judging will be set aside at this time.

- Awards will be presented at 3:30pm. Winners will be presented with a trophy, so we hope you’ll be able to stay for the award ceremony!

- While we’d prefer that cupcakes be your own homemade creation, we have decided that in the Tasty Cake and Curious Cake divisions, mixes will be allowed ONLY if you are adding additional ingredients to make it unique. Glamour Cake submissions may use a mix to create the base for your decorating, but the cupcakes must be edible.

- The Youth Division is essentially a decorating award, and a cake mix may be used for the base of these as well.

- Cupcakes are to be classic cupcake pan size or smaller (mini cupcakes are welcome, however we just don’t have the room for giant cupcakes).

- Cupcakes should be edible, with the exception of some decorative elements (we trust your common sense).

- Your cupcakes will be displayed by you. You have the option to create a themed display for your cupcakes - if you choose to decorate, you will be automatically entered in our new award category: Stylish Staging. You are welcome to refill your display as necessary; there will be space under the table to store extra cupcakes (in your own container or cooler). These are the cupcakes that the public will be eating.

 - You will be asked to fill out a display sign with your name, title of cupcake, and cupcake ingredients (for allergy warnings). If you have purchased your cupcakes from a bakery, please bring their attached ingredient list. Gloves will be provided to allow you to safely hand cupcakes to the public.

- Cupcakes will not be refrigerated, so please avoid using ingredients that may melt or spoil.

- The Glamour Cake award will go to the most visually appealing cupcake, as decided by the judges.

- The Tasty Cake award will go to the most delicious cupcake, as decided by the judges.

- The Curious Cake award will go to the cupcake that utilizes the most unique and unusual ingredients, while still being appetizing.

- The Kids Cake category is limited to cupcake bakers who are 16 years old or younger. Adult supervision is recommended, creativity and construction should be that of the Youth baker.

- The Stylish Staging award will go to the table with the best decorative display, as decided by the judges.

- The People’s Choice award is up for grabs! Each baker will be given a money jar for their display. Cash donations will be collected in the jars throughout the event, as the public is encouraged to donate to their favorite Cupcake Maker. The jar with the most cash wins the People’s Choice award. This is the only award that can be “bought,” so bring your friends and have them fill your jar!
